A girder clamp serves to connect pipe holders or the like, for example, to girders. It is configured approximately in the form of a vice with a cutout (3) which is open at the edge and in the region of which there engages a clamping screw (5). The girder clamp (1) has a clamp body (4) which is closed approximately in the form of a box and the side walls (6) of which are connected to one another by a rear web (7). It has joining flanges (8, 8a), formed by overlaps, on two mutually opposite sides. A high stability of the girder clamp results from this closed configuration. Moreover, a high degree of strength can also be achieved when using comparatively thin-walled material. Also, in the joining region of the joining flanges (8, 8a), favourable wall thicknesses for the clamping screw (5) and also for pipe holders are obtained due to the overlaps. The clamp body comprises a single-piece part which has been bent and cut. <IMAGE>
