A shock absorber (1) for objects operates with a damping function which can be varied by means of a member (15) which determines the size of a media passage between the top and bottom sides of a piston (10) belonging to the absorber. The member is designed in order, by means of the inertia of its mass, to execute a relative displacement movement in a bearing allocated thereto when acceleration force acting on the mass occurs on account of the acceleration in the object. By means of the said displacement movement, the member (15) affects the size of the media passage. |
