PURPOSE:To attain economical response system with comparatively good service by connecting a subscriber telephone set to an output channel when the output channel of an audio response unit is idle and transmitting an audio response signal from the beginning of a response message. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber 12 makes a call, an exchange control system 10 discriminates a request of the subscriber 12 via a telephone exchange channel system 11. When any audio response is required to the request, the exchange control system 10 starts an audio response unit 15 through a control channel 21. The audio response unit 15 receives an input data required for the response message from the exchange control system to the subscriber 12 and edits the response message. The idle state of the output channel returning the response is managed by the audio response unit 15 and idle output channel information is returned to the exchange control system 10. The exchange control system 10 enters the operation setting a pass immediately after the start of the audio response unit 15 and connects the subscriber 12 and the output channel 16 by a channel 18. |
