In a packaging, in particular for plug or socket strips of electric plug connections, having a box-shaped bottom part which has compartments and is open on one side, and having a lid which can be fastened to said bottom part, for the secure accommodation of the packaging product and for easier handling, the bottom part (1) is provided, on at least two mutually opposite side walls, with edge strips (5) or edge-strip sections pointing transversely outwards, and the lid (7) is provided with corresponding edge strips (8) or edge-strip sections resting plane-parallel on said former edge strips (5) or edge-strip sections. Bent-out portions (9, 9') or moulded-on portions are provided in the edge strips (8) or edge-strip sections of the lid (7), which portions extend on both sides of said lid and can be engaged frictionally, positively or non-positively in depressions (6) or constrictions formed in the edge strips (5) or edge-strip sections of the bottom part (1). <IMAGE>
