<p>The lock has a housing (10) with a main bolt (20) which has a row of projections which slide through radial slots in locking discs (30-32), when they are correctly aligned. The discs have sliders (33-35) with notches at one end which can be engaged by the teeth of gears (60-62), when the slider is fully engaged in the disc. The discs are held in position by a positioning plate (40), and the gears can be locked by spring loaded locking plates (50-52). The gears are mounted on spindles connected to knobs (80-82). The spring-loaded locking plates can only be released when the main bolt is in the end position. The gears can then be disengaged from the notches in the sliders and rotated by the knobs to change the combination.</p> |
