PURPOSE:To prevent a telephone to a wrong number due to mis-registration, etc., from being generated, by displaying the content of a registered abbreviated dial. CONSTITUTION:A display part 1 can display a number of four digits, and displays a time generally. When the content of the registered abbreviated dial is conformed by a (registration) button 3, an (abbreviation) button 2, and a (confirmation) button 4 following the button 2 are depressed, and furthermore, the number of the abbreviated dial desired to be confirmed is depressed at a numeric button part 5. By performing such operation, the low-order four digits of a registered telephone number instead of the time being displayed on the display part 1 is displayed for several seconds. For example, when a telephone number 123-4567 is registered on an abbreviated dial 05, by depressing the (abbreviation) button 2, the (confirmation) button 3, and the (0) and the (5) of the numeric button part 5 successively, the low-order four digits of the telephone number is displayed on the display part 1 as (45-67) for several seconds instead of the time.
