The invention relates to a closure for tubes and dispensers of pastes, in particular toothpastes, having a housing 5. Arranged inside the housing 5 having a transfer chamber 6 is a movable plunger 10. The plunger 10 is closed on one side; it has a plunger bore 11 and at least one paste entry aperture 7 which extends from the surface to the plunger bore 11. The paste entry aperture 7 is surrounded on both sides by guides 4 arranged on the surface of the plunger 10. Mounted on the plunger 10 is a device with which the lid 13, arranged movably on the front of the housing 5, can be controlled, at least one guide 4 on the bottom 12 of the plunger 10 sealing off the paste entry aperture 7 against penetrating paste until the lid 13 is opened. <IMAGE>
