The present invention provides a perfluoroalkenyloxybenzoic acid derivative of the formula <CHEM> wherein X is perfluoroalkenyl group having 6 to 14 carbon atoms, and process for preparing the same. Further, the present invention provides a prepolymer of a perfluoroalkenyloxybenzoic acid derivative comprising a repeating unit of the formula <CHEM> wherein X is same as above, and a repeating unit having one double bond and derived from the cleavage of double bond of a diene compound.
