Dispersion of coloured images

Dispersion of coloured images in or on a substrate can be obtained by using a thin layer of an organic compound as substrate. On top of this is placed another support compound and a dyestuff. This arrangement is subjected to a vapour which can cause distension of the support compounds but not the substrate. Thus the dyestuff on the support solid can be dispersed in the molecular state. This is therefore a method for the formation of images of colour dispersion. High purity images can be obtained quickly by this method.
