Traction current collector brushes having a carbon pantograph strip which has on the underside a galvanically applied metal layer and having a metallic mounting, a flexible connecting line being soldered onto the metal layer in order to connect the carbon strip to the mounting galvanically in a manner which is independent of the mechanical connection. The flexible connecting line is a metallic fabric tape or a metal foil which is longer than the carbon strip and is soldered over the entire length or approximately the entire length of the carbon strip, the protruding end or ends being guided within the mounting and rigidly connected to it internally. The rigid connection can be made by means of screwing (6), riveting, soldering or welding. A relatively large contact area between mounting (2) and metallic fabric tape (3) may also be provided if required by inserting an intermediate piece (4).
