PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly execute a switching construction, etc., without interrupting light communication in case of transferring various kinds of faults, etc., by using a by-pass optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:By connecting respective units U1 and U2, a temporary by-pass optical transmission line L3 is formed and the optical signal of a main track optical transmission line L1 is transmitted through the by-pass optical transmission line L3. Therefore, the desirable construction such as the transfer of the faults should be executed in a switching section A-B part of the main track optical transmission line L1. After that, the main track optical transmission line L1 and the by-pass optical transmission line L2 are directly connected with an optical fiber F3, shown in figure (B), so as to form a permanent optical transmission line. After forming the permanent optical transmission line, the external devices of the respective units U1 and U2 should be detached, shown in figure (C). |
