<p>In pumping of liquid or suspension containing gas with a centrifugal pump, problems can arise in that a gas bubble, which can spoil the pump function, is formed at the pump wheel central parts. Through the invention, the gas bubble periphery is given a wave shape and currentdetecting electrodes are inserted at different distances from the pump shaft. Through the wave form the electrodes enter partly in current conducting contact with liquid or suspension and partly in non-current contact with gas, whereby a registerable pulse train arises. The gas bubble size can be regulated by controlled discharge of gas, so that the pump gives the desired pressure head and volume capacity. Through the wave shape also the pump speed of revolution and power consumption can be controlled, so that the highest possible operating efficiency is obtained.</p> |
