PURPOSE:To stabilize the outflow of a releasing agent in a short period by providing flanges for sealing a releasing agent to both axial ends of a coating roller, and abutting the outer peripheral surfaces of the flanges against the surface of the roller and facilitating the conduction of the heat of the roller to the releasing agent. CONSTITUTION:The releasing agent coating roller 5 has many discharge openings 5a in its peripheral surface and consists of a hollow roller 5A which contains the releasing agent 6 such as silicone oil, an impregnated layer 5B of felt or paper, etc., covering the outer peripheral surface of the hollow roller 5A, and flanges 5C fixed in the axial direction of the hollow roller 5A. The flanges 5C are so set that the installation position in the axial direction of a heat roller 1 is outside the effective image area of the heat roller 1. Therefore, when the releasing agent coating roller 5 has its impregnated layer 5B opposite the surface of the heat roller 1, the external surfaces of the flanges 5C abut on the external surface of the heat roller 1. Consequently, the time for stabilizing the outflow of the releasing agent from the releasing agent coating roller to the heat roller is shortened. |
