PURPOSE:To obtain clean and stable complete combustion by installing a combustion plate having a flame hole part with V-shaped cross section and flame holding plates at a vertical type ring-shaped burner. CONSTITUTION:Fuel and air supplied from a fuel supply pipe 6 and an air supply pipe 7 form uniform mixed gas in a mixing chamber 8; the gas is spouted from the V-shaped flame part 10 of a combustion plate 11 placed in a vertical type ring-shaped burner body, ignited with an ignitor 15, and completely burnt as the primary and secondary flames 16, 17. Since the faces on the part 10 are opposed each other by the V-shaped constitution of the plate 11, the primary and secondary blue flames are firmly held in their flame condition and the partition action of the combustion flames caused by induced draft or diffusion force does not occur. Accordingly, a slim type burner of uniform flames without pulsation, lift, and generation of soot and foul odor is obtained.
