PURPOSE:To restrain generation of surface flaws of a pure Ti sheet by installing a lubricant supplier for non-driven rolls being in contact with the pure Ti sheet and rolling the Ti sheet with a lubricant applied to the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant supplier 3a is installed for non-driven rolls such as looper roller 2, etc., being in contact with a pure Ti sheet 1 during hot rolling. The supplier 3a consists of a header 30a and plural spray nozzles 31a in the longitudinal direction of the header 30a and the nozzles 31a inject a mixed liquid of cooling water and a lubrication oil onto the roller 2. Thus, at the time of bringing the Ti sheet 1 into contact with the roller 2, a friction coefficient between the roller 2 and the sheet 1 changes and seizing of Ti to the surface of the roller 2 is restrained. Therefore, generation of surface flaws of the sheet 1 is restrained.
