PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive toner from being supplied to a developer chamber, by constituting the titled device so that the toner can be supplied only when lowering in toner concentration is displayed by a display means. CONSTITUTION:An operating panel 68 is provided on this side of the upper face of a body 12, two LEDs 80, 82 are provided on its about center part, and also, a piezoelectric element 42 for detecting the upper face of a developer 30 is provided on a side wall of the left side of a stirring blade 32. In this state, when the toner is consumed and the quantity of the whole developer 30 decreases, and the upper face of the developer 30 falls, pressure for acting on the piezoelectric element becomes small and an oscillation is started, and the LED 82 is turned on. Accordingly, when the LED 82 is being turned on, the toner concentration in a developer chamber 28 is lowered, and copying cannot be executed satisfactorily. In this case, when a start key 78 is operated, a toner supply motor is driven, a toner supply roller 44 rotates and a toner 30a is replenished into the developer chamber 28 from a toner hopper 46. In such a way, an excessive toner is not supplied. |
