PURPOSE:To airtightly caulk and stick a thick plate and a thin plate by superposing a thick metallic plate and a thin metallic plate, and projecting and deforming two pieces of plates in a circular hole toward the thin plate from the thick plate by a male die having a circular projecting part and a female die having a circular hole. CONSTITUTION:A thick metallic plate 1 and a thin metallic plate 2 are superposed, the thin plate 2 is placed on a female die 3, a male die 4 is allowed to descend in the direction as indicated with an arrow, and by a circular projecting part 5 of the male die 4, two pieces of plates 1, 2 are projected and deformed in a circular hole 6 of the female die 3 to the extent that the thin plate 2 is not broken. Subsequently, the female die 3 is allowed to descend a little in the direction as indicated with an arrow, and in a state that the male die 4 remains placed against the side of the thick plate 1, only a male die 7 of a piston type is allowed to ascend in the direction as indicated with an arrow, in the female die 3. In such a way, two pieces of plates 1, 2 are compressed and caulked. Thereafter, when the male die 4 and the female die 3 are separated, both the plates 1, 2 become a state that they have been caulked and stuck firmly. By executing this caulking to several parts, both the plates are stuck firmly.
