PURPOSE:To convert colors at a high speed and with high accuracy by supplying successively color picture data to detect the prescribed colors based on the picture data of plural positions and converting these detected colors into desired colors in the order of inputs. CONSTITUTION:Inputted Y, M and C density data are inputted to a ratio arithmetic circuit 1 and the ratios of Yr (yellow), Mr (magenta) and Cr (cyan) are calculated for each unit picture element. Outputted Yr/Mr/Cr ratio data are inputted to an averaging circuit 2 for output of the means value of peripheral picture elements set around a notice picture element. Then the Yr/Mr/Cr ratio data is inputted to a comparator 3 from the circuit 2. When the colors set at registers 7, 8 and 9 and to be converted are detected, the comparator 3 outputs '1' for all these colors and an AND gate 4 outputs a control signal 10 of a selector 6. The selector 6 inputs the signal 10 and outputs selectively the converted Y', M' and C' density data set at a register 5. Thus the conversion of colors are attained at a high speed and with high accuracy. |
