PURPOSE:To reduce harmonic distortion and to reproduce a sound down to a low pitched sound area by constituting a short horn with a sound conducting plane installed between a pair of sound conducting side walls and a sound leading duct protruding from the sound leading side wall. CONSTITUTION:The short horn itself acts the function of a front horn by means of a space O1 formed by a sound conducting side walls 11, 11 and a sound leading plane 12 and the sound conducting duct 14 connected to the space O1. Accordingly when a speaker 2 is driven and a radiant wave is induced and radiated through both spaces O1, O2 and the whole radiation efficiency is in creased. Because the sound conducting plane 12 is formed into a state covering more than 1/2 of the front surface 21 of the speaker, the harmonic distortion generated from the speaker 2 and having strong directivity, is attenuated by the space O1, formed by the side walls 11, 11 and the sound conducting plane 12. Besides, the spaces O2, O3 are communicated while gradually expanding and form a large horn duct and thus, the raise of a cut-off frequency at a heavy low pitched sound is prevented and the sound down to the low pitched sound can be reproduced.
