<p>A bitumen blend comprises bitumen and a polymer binder, which is low density polyethylene most preferably having a melt flow index of from 0.3 to 0.4 and which most preferably also, is present from about 15 to 18% by weight. The softening point of the blend is preferably about 107 to 120 DEG C. The composition may be used as a waterproofing compound for roofing or for use in carpet tile backings.</p> |
