PURPOSE:To obtain the titled flame-retardant composition, having excellent optical properties and suitable as various optical information recording media, e.g. video disks, etc., by blending styrene-methyl methacrylate based resin with a specific flame retardant in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) 70-95pts.wt. copolymer consisting of 20-80wt.% styrene units and 80-20wt.% methyl methacrylate units with (B) 30-5pts.wt. brominated aromatic compound having 90-170 deg.C melting point, e.g. tetrabromobisphenol derivative, etc.
