PURPOSE:To form a distinct image at a high speed by forming a latent image for color print on a photosensitive recording body from a light-shielding visible image formed on the photosensitive recording body according to an electrostatic or magnetic latent image. CONSTITUTION:Microcapsules 34 which contain dyeing precursors of cyan, magenta, and yellow and photosetting resin individually and a developer are arranged on the reverse surface of a transparent resin base material 33 and a counter electrode 35 is arranged below photosensitive recording paper 31; and a signal based upon specific image information is inputted to an electrostatic recording head 38 to form an electrostatic latent image, and a visible image 45 is formed with toner 42. Then a latent image is formed on the photosensitive recording paper 31 by the exposure lamp 49 and interference filter 51 of an exposing device 46 from the visible image 45, which is erased; and microcapsules 34 which do not set with light are collapsed by the pressure roller 55 of a developing device 48 to visualize the latent image, thereby forming an image.
