PURPOSE:To increase the number of input/output devices with no increase of the number of input/output controllers by performing the input/output of information based on the numbers decided previously for each input/output device to give the input/output to a sequence controller. CONSTITUTION:A sequence controller 90 performs the prescribed arithmetic processing based on the input information IN received from an input control device 70 to produce the output information OUT to be given to an output control device 80. At the same time, the controller 90 outputs the information OUT to the device 80 and also receives the input of the information IN from the device 70 to carry out the prescribed arithmetic processing. While a device address indicating means 60 outputs the device number information decided previously at an output device 81 to an input selecting means 75 when the information OUT is outputted to the device 80. An output device 81 corresponding to the device number information is selected and receives the output of the information OUT after the device 80 receives the information OUT from the controller 90 and an output selecting means 85 receives the device number information from the means 60.
