PURPOSE:To prevent discharging of a toner to the outside of the casing of a cleaning device as far as possible by bringing a blade and a guiding means into contact with the surface of a photosensitive body for a specified time after ending of copying. CONSTITUTION:When a control switch 13 is turned off upon ending of a copying cycle, a photosensitive body 1 stops and at the same time timers 14, 15 are turned off. A reseting contact 14a for instantaneous limitation of operation turns off upon lapse of 10sec, then a cooling fan 11 stops running and further a resetting contact 15a for instantaneous limitation of operation turns off to deenergize a solenoid 10, then the edge 7a at the tip of a blade and the edge 8a at the tip of a thin guiding plate detach from the circumferential surface of a drum-shaped photosensitive body 1. The fan 11 continues to run for 10sec after the stop of the body 1 and the fan stops running after the hot part of the copying machine is thoroughly cooled in the above-mentioned way. The edges 7a, 8a of the blade detach from the circumferential surface of the body 1 upon lapse of the time enough to allow the toner to fall thoroughly from the edge 7a and for the toner smoke in a casing 6 to be erased and therefore the leakage of the toner is prevented. |
