<p>Floor coverings comprise a continuous elastic layer to which is adhered a deformable, abrasion-resistant textile material. The textile material may be stuck on by adhesives. Pref. the elastic layer is PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane or rubber. Another way of manufacturing the coverings is to coat a transfer-support e.g. silicone paper with a film of plastisol having a similar chemical structure to the continuous layer above, applying the textile on top of the film, heating the assembly and removing the transfer-support. The floor covering has a soft touch, similar to carpet, and has high abrasion resistance.</p> |
