PURPOSE:To reduce the sense of incongruity in a reception sound cased by the elimination of multi-pass noise by lowering the multi-pass detection sensitivity when a reception signal contains much higher frequency components. CONSTITUTION:The titled receiver is provided with a detection circuit 1 to detect an input signal and the level of it, an output circuit 2 to control the processing of the output of the detection circuit 1, a multi-pass detection circuit 3 to detect multi-pass from the output of the detection circuit 1, a control circuit 4 to control an output circuit 2 when the input signal level from the circuit 1 goes to a prescribed value or below or a multi-pass is detected by the circuit 3, and a higher component detection circuit 5 to detect higher components at a prescribed frequency or above in a main signal contained in the output of the detection circuit 1. And the detection circuit 5 lowers the multi-pass detection sensitivity of the multi-pass detection circuit 3 corresponding to the detection level of the higher frequency components. As a result, the sense of incongruity in a reception sound caused by the elimination of multi-pass noise can be reduced. |
