PURPOSE:To attain quick restoration of a telephone exchange network in the state that a faulty exchange is eliminated by connecting a relay line between a faulty exchange and a host exchange and relay line between the faulty exchange and a subsequent station if the telephone exchange network is in the state of system-down. CONSTITUTION:If an exchange 4 is faulty, the connection between relay lines 7-10 and the exchange 4 is released by a line switching section 2 by using a switching signal of a line switching control section 1 and the relay lines 7, 9 and 8, 10 are connected respectively. Moreover, the telephone exchange network is restored at the state that the faulty exchange is eliminated by using the path information change signal sent to exchanges 3, 5 and 6 via remote control sections 11, 12 and 13 from the line switching control section 1 so as to change the path information of the relay lines 7-10.
