In a blow moulding process, the internal pressure is varied with preprogrammed frequency to modify the characteristics of the formed material, esp. by dissipating residual internal stresses and/or greater permeation by a gas, esp. CO2, which will affect the moulding material e.g. to enhance its barrier properties for packaging applications, esp. bottles.
