PURPOSE:To surely form beams without increasing the length of an optical path by providing a beam forming optical system consisting of a pair of concave and convex cylindrical lenses and a triangular prism on an optical path set in the projecting direction of the laser beam. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam radiated from a semiconductor laser 11 and scattered in the different directions are turned into circular beams via a pair of concave and convex cylindrical lenses 13 and 15 and a triangular prism 14. Both lenses 13 and 15 are moved in parallel to their optical axes for correction of the astigmatism of the laser light. While the prism 14 is turned round a vertical axis to change the incident angle of the laser light to the prism 14. Thus the beam gradient is corrected. Therefore it is possible to simply and surely correct both the astigmatism and the gradient of the laser light at a time as soon as the beams are formed by the fine control of both lenses 13 and 15 and the prism 14. |
