PURPOSE:To contrive enhancement of fogging resistance of a non-color-developed part and fading resistance of a colordeveloped part, by providing a thermal color forming layer through binding leuco color developer particulates comprising a leuco color developer dispersed or dissolved in a binder resin and a leuco dye by a binder. CONSTITUTION:For example, a magnetic card comprises a base 2 formed of a plastic such as a polyester, with a magnetic layer 1 being provided on one side of the base 2, a leuco thermal color forming layer 30 being provided on the other side, and a protective layer 4 being provided on the color forming layer 30. The color forming layer 30 is provided by binding leuco color developer particulates 30C, which are obtained by dispersing or dissolving a color developer for a leuco dye in a binder resin, and the leuco dye 30B by a binder 30A. The particulates 30C comprise the color developer 31 dispersed in the binder resin 32. It is preferable that the particle size distribution width of the color developer particulates is narrow, and the central value in the particle size distribution is 0.3-3mu. The amount of resin of the binder is preferably 20-70%. |
