PURPOSE:To enable character patterns to be accessed without performing decoding on a printing code basis when printing codes are received and enhance printing speed, by preliminarily determining characters to be printed by commands or manual operations, and forming a corresponding address table. CONSTITUTION:Command information 104 inputted is analyzed by a command- analyzing part 3 to determines which ones of characters to be printed are to be selected, and a selection signal 105 is outputted. The selection signal can be obtained also by a manual operation signal through operating a switch 4. The selection signal 105 thus obtained is received by an address-setting part 5, and an address setting signal 106 is outputted, whereby required addresses are set in an address table 1. The address table 1 in which address setting is completed receives a printing code 101, converts the code into an address 102 corresponding to a character pattern for the code, and outputs the address 102. A character pattern generating part 2 outputs a character pattern signal 103 corresponding to the address 102 inputted thereto, and the signal 103 is sent to a printing part. |
