PURPOSE:To easily detect and correct an error in which contents of plural bits change by using a standard internal expression having a standard value closest to a mark bit number so as to correct the data when mark bit number is dissident with the preset standard value. CONSTITUTION:A data is compared with the standard internal expression and an error caused at transmission and processing is detected and corrected. That is, mark bits in one area are counted as to one component of data. The mark bit number is compared with the corresponding standard value and when the both are dissident, the occurrence of an error in the area is detected. Thus, when an error is detected in this way, the data subjected to error detection is corrected by the standard internal expressin having the standard value closest to the mark bit number.
