PURPOSE:To facilitate selection of a desired stamping die and selection of the direction of a character, numeral or the like to be die-stamped and make it possible to shorten adjustment time, by providing a rotary disk provided with a pluraliy of stamping dies along the circumferential direction thereof and capable of being freely rotated, and a stamping hammer having a projected part for depressing a desired one of the stamping dies downward through rotation control. CONSTITUTION:Prior to die stamping, a work plate material W is inserted to the lower side of a rotary disk 4, and is positioned. In this condition, the rotary disk 4 is rotated by a predetermined angle by a stamping die rotation controlling means to select a desired stamping die 13 and the stamping direction of a character, numeral or the like of the die 13. Further, a stamping hammer 12 is rotated by a predetermined angle by a stamping hammer rotation controlling means to transfer a projected part 21a of the hammer 21 to a stamping position. Next, the hammer 21 is lowered, whereby the desired stamping die 13 selected is depressed downward, and the work W is stamped with the desired die in the desired direction.
