PURPOSE:To eliminate a remaining ineffective picture data before revision of magnification and power-on by clearing the picture data written in an output buffer in the ineffective area timing at picture reading. CONSTITUTION:A switch 463 is provided to a data supply line of a couple of line memories 451, 452 and a clear data and a picture data supplied from the magnification/reduction circuit are supplied selectively. The clear timing to the line memories 451, 452 is executed at a period other than the ineffective area at picture readout. Thus, a signal latching a vertical effective area signal V-VALID by using a horizontal synchronizing signal as a clear signal PE. Only when the clear signal PE is period 1, the switch 463 is switched to the position of clear data and the data in the memories 451, 452 is cleared. |
