PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a main switching element without increasing number of components by connecting a malfunction preventing diode in series only between a cathode of an auxiliary thyristor and a DC minus side of a diode bridge. CONSTITUTION:With a high speed noise inputted between output terminals 1 and 2 in a solid-state relay, a switching element Q1 is reverse-biased and the state is transited from the ON-state before the high speed noise is inputted into the off-state. Then a minute current supplied from the DC side of the diode bridge DB flowed via a resistor R6 to the collector of the switching element Q1 is going to flow to the gate of the auxiliary thyristor SCR, since the malfunction prevention diode D is connected in series with the cathode of the auxiliary thyristor SCR, the current does not flow to the gate but flows to the switching element Q1 to prevent mis-trigger of the auxiliary thyristor resulting that the malfunction of the main switching element is prevented.
