A ski binding for a cross-country or touring ski has a pivoting part 30 with a locking pin 32 which has a front- side wedge surface 32a. The pivoting part 30 can be pivoted up, counter to spring action, about a pivot spindle 20 fixed to the ski, the locking pin 32, in the closed position, passing from below through an opening 104, delimited by a front transverse web 102b, in a sole extension 101 of the boot sole. The ski binding is provided with a receiving shell 40, subject to spring action, for the sole extension 101, which can be pivoted down about the front pivot spindle 20 out of an inclined entry position into the closing position. When the transverse web 102b runs onto the wedge surface 32a, a boot-sole-side pressing surface 106 is pressed against a binding-side counter-surface 44 which is designed in the receiving shell 40. In this connection, a removable bar 60, which fixes the closing position, catches on the receiving shell 40. <IMAGE> |
