AUTOMATIC SHAPE INSPECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To perform a multi-dimensional inspection of shapes at a high speed by using stages set in three directions in response to the sides to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:Whole processes are divided into three stages and 1st-3rd stage inspecting parts 1-3 are provided for each of said three stages. A sample input part is provided at a front stage of the part 1 and these parts 1-3 are integratedly controlled by a control part 5. A signal 6 shows that a digit wheel 11 to be inspected is set at a pickup-enable position. Interfaces 7-10 perform communication between the parts 1-3 and the part 5 for an instruction of the start of inspection, the report of the end of inspection, the result of inspection, the control standard value, etc. The part 1 inspects the periphery of the center of a side X to be inspected. The part 2 inspects the numerical characters and shapes of the sides Y-1 and Y-2 to be inspected of the wheel 11. Then the part 3 inspects the periphery of an outer circumference including a carry cam 13 of the side X.
