PURPOSE:To produce a ring having the cross section of an almost true circle and uniform thickness by a method in which after the mold to be dipped has been dipped in rubber latex liquid, it is pulled up, thereby forming a caplike coating layer, and a part of said coating layer is removed by flushing, and then the residual latex layer is wound up like a roll. CONSTITUTION:After the mold 1 to be dipped with the shape of a circular cylinder has been dipped to the depth a0 in the tank of latex rubber liquid, it is pulled up, thereby forming a caplike coating layer 2 on the peripheral surface of the mold 1. Next, the mold 1 is dipped in water to the prescribed depth a2 from the tip of the layer 2, and the coating layer of the dipped portion is removed by flushing. The latex rubber layer 21 having desired residual width a1 is formed into a flat belt shape on the mode 1. Then, after the rubber layer 21 has been dried under heating, it is wound up like a roll, while directing from one side edge 211 to other side edge 212. Next, the rubber layer 21 is rolled up into one endless ring 3 with the cross section of an almost true circular shape. Then, the endless ring 3 is released from the mold 1 and is vulcanized. |
