PURPOSE:To prevent the stopping of action of the circuits on and after next stages by switching from selected synchronizing signals to internal synchronizing signals at the time when the former synchronizing signal are missing. CONSTITUTION:In case a synchronization selection switch SW 1 selects input Syn, a switching circuit 2 outputs the Input Sync if a synchronizing signal absence detection circuit 3 does not supply detection signals, but if the circuit 3 supplies detection signals, the circuit 2 outputs INT.Sync. In case the SW 1 selects EXT.Sync, the switching circuit 2 outputs the EXT.Sync if a synchronizing signal absece detection circuit 4 does not supply detection signals, but outputs INT.Sync if the circuit 4 outputs detection signals. Accordingly, even in case the selected synchronizing signals are missing, since the INT Sync is outputted in result of the switching, the circuits on and after next stages can continue to operate and execute image processing.
