PURPOSE:To construct a cut-off wall by a method in which a long sheet with a slender baggy part is penetrated into a strip-form trench excavated in the ground, water and sand are packed into the baggy part to erect the sheet, and the trench is embedded with soil. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped or latticed form of slender baggy part 82 is attached slantly at right angle to the lengthwise direction of a long synthetic resin sheet over the whole width to the sheet in order to form a water-stop sheet 81. A strip-form trench 86 is excavated in the ground and filled with a stabilizing liquid 87 for the trench wall. The sheet 81 is set in the trench 86 and positioned along the wall of the trench by a guide bar 84. Water and sand are packed into the upper end opening of the baggy part 82 of the sheet 81 to erect the sheet 81 in the trench, and the trench 86 is back-filled with soil. Stable cut-off wall can thus be constructed effectively.
