PURPOSE:To improve the affinity between wall mud and mud wall core material and consequently wall mud holding capability by a method wherein a large number of through holes, the diameter of which is smaller than the length of the maximum side of fiber ship, are bored at the rate of opening of 20-45 % in a fiber aggregated board on the surface of which irregularities are provided and which is produced by forming fiber chips having the length of the maximum side of 30-75 mm in the shape of a board using water resistant adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A mud wall core material 1 is a fiber aggregated board, which is produced by bonding fiber chips 3 having the length Q of the maximum side of 30-75 mm with water resistant adhesive and by shaping them in the form of a board. On the mud wall core material 1, a large number of through holes 2a, 2b, 2c... are bored in zigzag configuration. The bore diameter P of each hole is in the range of 20-40 mm and is smaller than the length Q of the maximum side of the fiber chip 3. Accordingly, since wall mud to be filled contacts the woody part of the fiber chip 3 by all means, the affinity between the wall mud and the mud wall core material 1 is improved. The respective through holes 2a, 2b, 2c... have tapers, the directions of which are opposite to one another with respect to a panel surface, at 2-8 degrees. In addition, the rate of opening is 20-45 %. Further, the surface of the mud wall core material 1 has irregularities, the difference in level of which is 0.5-5 mm and is formed by the difference in the orientation of the fiber chips 3.
