PURPOSE:To simplify the piping operation for a solar heat water heater by a method wherein a main unit and an auxiliary unit are brought into close contact with each other laterally without leaving any gap therebetween in such a manner that the main unit and the auxiliary unit are made to communicate with each other at the upper side surfaces and the lower side surfaces thereof in their installed conditions through communication pipes. CONSTITUTION:A hot water storage tank 3 of the main unit U1 is provided with upper and lower hot water outlet ports 7, a forward side connecting port 8 to communicate the discharge port of acirculation pump 6, a water supply port 9 to communicate with a heat collector 4 and a hot water storage tank 3 of the auxiliary unit U2 and a connecting port 10. The hot water outlet ports 7 of each of the hot water storage tanks 3 are formed in the lower side surface and the upper side surface of the t tank 3 in its installed condition and communicate with the connecting port 10 and the water supply port 9 of each of the tanks 3 through the upper communication pipe 14 and the lower communication pipe 15, respectively. The forward side connecting port 8 is formed in the upper side surface of the hot water storage tank 3 of the main unit 11 and communicates with a discharge port formed in a cistern tank 5 of the circulation pump 6 through a communication pipe 16. |
