PURPOSE:To enable molded products having excellent whiteness and hiding power to be formed, by blending a polyester with calcium carbonate having a specified particle size, an inorg. particle other than calcium carbonate and a phosphorus compd. CONSTITUTION:A polyester where at least 80mol% of repeating units is ethylene terephthalate units is blended with 6-40wt% calcium carbonate (A) having an average particle size of 0.05-5mu, 1-20wt% inorg. particle (B) having an average particle size of 0.05-5mu other than calcium carbonate and 100-5,000ppm (in terms of phosphorus atom) of a phosphorus compd. (C). Preferred examples of the component B are titanium dioxide and zinc flower. The preferred weight ratio of B to A is 0.05-2.0. Examples of the phosphorus compd. are phosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, phosphonic acid and derivatives thereof. |
