PURPOSE:To detect the temperature of a body to be measured by simple constitution without contacting by providing a light shielding part which cuts off light freely in front of a reflection part which reflects incident light in nearly the same direction with the incidence. CONSTITUTION:Light 13 emitted by a light emission part 11 passes through a hole 16 and is reflected 14 by a reflecting plate 9 to strike on a light reception part 12 through a hole 16. Here, the reflecting plate 9 functions to reflect the incident light 13 in the opposite direction at nearly the same angle. Further, the light shielding plate 10 is provided in front of the reflecting plate 9 and a coil-shaped bimetal 8 is joined. This bimetal 8 generates a force according to temperature variation so as to vary the axial length of the coil, so the shielding plate 10 moves by the temperature variation to shield and open the hole 16. Namely, the incident light 13 is cut off and passed. Here, the bimetal 8 detects the temperature of the body to be measured efficiently, so the light reception part 12 detects whether or not there is the reflected light 14 of the incident light 13 to detect the temperature of the body to be measured.
