The pedal has a front mobile plastic arch (5a) and a rear mobile plastic arch located in front and rear of a pedal axle. Elementary axles (10a, 11a) and elementary axles (10b, 11b) are carried at two sides of a pedal body (1) and axially spaced to articulate the arches respectively. Each elastic return unit i.e. traction spring, of the arches is located outside a space between the elementary axles. The articulation of the arches and the arrangement of the unit ensure disengagement of a central part (9) of the arches from the body. The unit includes a flexion strip. The flexion strip is made of glass fibers or carbon fibers connected by resin.
