PURPOSE:To provide the title material having excellent flow stability (thermal stability) at a plasticizing temp. and excellent quick-curability at a curing temp., by blending a novolak type phenolic resin with hexamethylenetetramine which has been treated with a specified surface treating agent. CONSTITUTION:A surface treating agent (a) having an m.p. or softening point of 80-200 deg.C, composed of at least one member selected from the group consisting of 23-45C straight-chain sated. fatty acids, 28-32C satd. alcohols, 8-22C fatty acid amides, N,N'-methylenebisamide, Cd, Ba, Zn and Ca salts of 10C or higher satd. fatty acids, 26C or higher fatty acid esters, low-molecular PE having an MW of 1,000-5,000, fatty acid monoglycerides, alkyl sulfonates, halogenated alkyl pyridinium, etc. is dissolved in a solvent and mixed with fine hexamethylenetetramine powder (b) having a particle size not larger than 100mu. The powder is dried to obtain hexamethylenetetramine (b) coated with the component (a) in a thickness of 1/20-1 time the particle size of the component (b).
