The invention comprises water-insoluble azo dyes having the general formula I in which R and R<SP>1</SP> are alkyl radicals having one to four carbon atoms, X is hydrogen, a methoxy group or an ethoxy group, Y is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or a methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, acetylamino or propionylamino group and n is 1 or 2. The red to blue dyestuffs of the invention may be prepared conventionally by diazotization and coupling. |
