PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a gasket in the mounting of a filter, by interposing an annular gasket protecting plate between the annular gasket and a locking claw part. CONSTITUTION:The annular gasket protecting plate 5 is interposed between the locking claw part 2A and the gasket 4 to support the annular gasket 4 provided to the end face plate 2 of the filter case A at an optional interval in the circumferential direction. As a result, the direct contact of the gasket 4 with the locking claw part 2A is prevented, and the damage of the gasket 4 due to the relative shifting of the claw part 2A and the gasket 4 in the mounting of the oil filter can be eliminated.
