PURPOSE:To develop a magnetic material minimal in core losses in a high-frequency wave, by subjecting an Fe amorphous magnetic alloy with a specific composition to heat treatment in a magnetic field at a temp. in the range from the Curie temp. of the alloy to the crystallization temp. and further to heat treatment in a nonmagnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A molten Fe-base magnetic alloy represented by formula [I] and having a composition, as a representative example, of Fe74Cr2W2B17Si5 or Fe72Cr2Co5B16Si5 is sprayed on a rapidly rotating water-cooled single roll made of Cu by means of an inert gas such as Ar gas, etc., to undergo very rapid cooling so as to be formed into a shape of a sheet metal having an amorphous structure. This sheet metal is wound around a toroidal core, which is subjected to heat treatment in a magnetic field at a temp. in the range from the Curie temp. of the alloy to the crystallization temp. Subsequently, heat treatment is further applied to the above in a nonmagnetic field at a temp. higher than the temp., so that magnetic material having superior high-frequency characteristics and minimal in core loss can be obtained. |
