PURPOSE:To surely perform the forcible ON/OFF operations and at the same time to easily reset an original program by providing a forcible ON/OFF field into an instruction code to store an instruction which gives the forcible ON/OFF operations to the input/output of a programmable controller. CONSTITUTION:A program memory includes a forcible input/output valid/invalid field 61, an input/output forcible ON/OFF field 62, an arithmetic code field 63, and an input/output address field 64. The field 61 shows a valid or invalid forcible input/output and the field 62 shows whether the forcible input/output is kept ON or OFF. Then an original program operation can be reset smoothly and surely after the forcible input/output operations by performing these operations in a state where an original program is maintained.
